Hi Song Yong Jun,

Usually power is a major concern for level sensing applications, for this reason we'd recommend using the IWR1443 because it is a much lower power sensor.

We have a TI-Design (TIDEP-0091) for a power optimized level transmitter solution, it is a design for a 2-wire 4-20 mA application.

Hi Song Yong Jun,

It is definitely possible with IWR1642!

I am trying to understand what you are trying to accomplish with the IWR1642 vs the IWR1443. Most non-level sensing applications that use the IWR1642 use the integrated DSP in order to cluster points and classify the objects. For most level sensing applications this is not necessary since we are only looking for range information.

Does the IWR1642 <-> DSP <-> MICOM connection work as a 2-wire current loop level transmitter?

Hi Song,

The collateral we have available is the TIDEP-0091 which uses the IWR1443 for a 2-wire system. If you can provide more information on your power requirements we can look into if the IWR1642 is appropriate.
