IWR6843: AWR1843 and IWR6843_Calibration failure item analysis

Hi Sir,

When we did calibration process and get its result. Once occur some items fail how do we to know its failure reason? By which API or could analyze by dump calibration data?

And do you have any document for explain calibration data structure and content meaning?

How are you performing this calibration? Is this using mmWave Studio or through application code?

The various calibrations are defined in the following app note:

Self-Calibration in TI’s mmWave Radar Devices

You will need to provide more context as to which APIs are you calling and where/how are you calling those.

We implement self-calibration by MMWave_start()

calibrationCfg.u.chirpCalibrationCfg.enableCalibration = true;
calibrationCfg.u.chirpCalibrationCfg.enablePeriodicity = true;
calibrationCfg.u.chirpCalibrationCfg.periodicTimeInFrames = 10U;

/* Start the mmWave: */
if (MMWave_start (gMrrMSSMCB.ctrlHandle, &calibrationCfg, &errCode) < 0)
{
/* Error: Unable to start the mmWave control module */
System_printf ("Error: mmWave start failed [Error code %d]\n", errCode);

}

We get calibration report from struct rlRfInitComplete_t and rlRfRunTimeCalibReport_t which are defined in file mmwave_link.c and mmwavelink.h.
