CCS/AWR1642: Unable to import Demo project into CCS because "its meta-data cannot be interpreted"

I was trying to import Demo projects in mmwave_sdk 1.01 into CCS v8.1 for building.

I followed the instructions in mmwave_sdk user's guide (section 4.5).

Then I tried to import CCS project, but failed with message:

"Import failed for project 'capture' because its meta-data cannot be interpreted. Please contact support."

Hi,
As I can see in the snapshot you have already other CCS projects for mmw sensor device (SRR/Vital sign). Could you create a new CCS project for Capture (non-importing) with the reference based on SRR/Vital sign CCS project.

Hi Gupta,

Thank you for your advice! I tried as you suggested but until now, those existing projects seem not a solid base for me to create an project for Capture, because 1) currently only vitalSigns_16xx_mss is successfully built, 2) the Capture is based on previous versions of SDK/Sysbios/XDC, not the same as vitalSigns_16xx_mss. I set the proper SDK/Sysbios/XDC versions, and added 'predefined Symbol Names' and 'include search paths', which eliminated some errors, but there are still some errors I couldn't figure out at present. (see below)

I am continuing debugging this CaptureMSS project, do you have any advice on the errors below?

Again, I still wonder if I could import Capture or mmw Demo project directly into CCS?

At least, I figure out why srr and vitalSigns failed built. It was because I didn't install "mmwave_sdk_02_00_00_04".

Hi Jitendra,

To create the project for capture, do I have to include files in 'obj_xwr16xx' and 'capture_configPkg_xwr16xx'? I excluded them and got a bunch of new errors (see attached figure). There are especially many of 'unresolved symbol XXX' (where XXX refer to a function in the driver of mmwave_SDK). Do you have any clue for these errors? Thank you very much!
