TMP116: Problems with EEPROM of TMP116

Part Number: TMP116

There are two problems with EEPROM of TMP116. Please help support .

1. The following description states that the EEPROM [4:1] data will be automatically loaded into the corresponding configuration register after power-on. How do the four registers  of EEPROM [4:1] and configuration registers correspond?

2. It is said that the data of EEPROM [4:1] will be loaded directly into the corresponding configuration register after power-on. The value of the configuration register and the reset value of EEPROM [4:1] should be the same. Why are the reset values different from the reset values of EEPROM listed in Table 3?

  • Hello Jace,

The configuration register and the EEPROM[4:1] are separately stored. When the device power up the values are loaded into each of the respective register separately.
In other words, the internal storage of EEPROM[4:1] is restored to the EEPROM[4:1] registers in the map table and internal storage of Configuration register is restored to the Configuration register. The two are not related.
