I have the IWR1443 and the MMWave Dev-Pack.

Is it possible to get data from those board to evaluate a RCS (radar cross section of objects being detected?

If so, would the IWR1642 be a better board for that or perhaps any other board you may have?

    Hi David,

    We have not explored computing the RCS of a target based on the reflected signal so I cannot comment on whether it's possible in general or what processing steps are needed to do so.

    However I believe that you would need to capture raw ADC data to design your algorithm and do to that you would need the DCA1000 EVM which allows you to capture raw data with the IWR144RBOOSTEVM (MMwave DevPack is not required).

    You cannot capture raw data with only IWR1443EVM+MMWave-DevPack.
