FDC2214EVM: EVM LED no light after updating firmware.

Dear Bala Ravi

After updating the firmware(given by you), GUI responds very slow, capacitance variations is lagging. After few minutes of testing, 2 LEDs no light and can't connect to GUI. Please help me solve with this problem.

P.S. When i update the firmware of FDC1004, the problem is also the same with FDC2214.

Here's the firmware i used to upgrade for FDC1004 and FDC2214.

    First, there is usually no need to update the firmware unless you accidentally updated the firmware with the wrong version. I have not seen issues with a firmware update causing sluggishness before. If the GUI is connecting to the EVM and reading registers properly, then I don't think that the firmware is the issue. Additionally, I recently updated the Sensing Solutions GUI install to include all of these firmware files if you need them in the future.

    This is what happened. After i received the EVM, i tested it by using GUI version 1.9.4. it works fine. Then, I update the firmware as what i thought need to update(i used the firmware code given by Bala). Later on, it becomes sluggish. I tried to test by using GUI version 1.10.0, its the same. So I update the firmware again(i used the firmware from 1.10.0). What happened next was when i connect the USB to PC, EVM LED didn't work and can't connect to GUI.

    Janine,

    You stated in another thread that you are ordering a new EVM, so I am going to close this thread. The GUI update should not have modified anything that would cause connection problems.
