Hi,

I'm working with the AWR1642BOOST EVM, for now, I just wanted to know that, by default, the binary file of which code is flashed onto the device, whose output we are able to visualize on the mmWave Demo Visualizer in the out-of-box demo.

Also, it would be a great help if you would share the sample data returned by the radar sensor so that I can know what all is returned by the sensor and what we are about to visualize in the Demo Visualizer. Or please let me know how can I read the returned values on my own.

Hi,
Default application flashed on the device is mmw demo from the mmWave-SDK.
Please refer the mmw demo application document for detail of output data.
I would recommend to flash updated binary of mmw demo from mmWave-SDK 2.1 to the AWR1642BOOST and then use Visualizer to configure the device and get the output plot on the screen.

To start with the application and visualizer please go over the document (mmwave-sdk user guide) under SDK-installation\docs\mmwave_sdk_user_guide.pdf and for mmw demo application (SDK-installation\packages\ti\demo\xwr16xx\mmw\docs\doxygen\html\index.html)

Further you can search your query in the same forum where you will find many of those matched with answered threads.

Thank you for your reply to my query.

I went through the codes and the document having the details of the output data.

Can you now, please let me know, whether there is a way to capture the text type data from the device i.e. output of the type number like object is at a distance of A meters, at an angle B degrees, and having a relative speed of C km/hr, etc as according to me, only this type of data is being plotted in the demo visualizer.

Hi,

The code sends out the (x,y,z,velocity) information for each detected object.

I think you should probably create your own GUI in matlab, in this way you will understand the data that you receive from the target.

Can you please tell, whether there is a way to know these x,y,z and velocity values in the decimal form. And how can I fix the parameters of the configuration file so that I can get the desired type of output, every time on the GUI created.

There is another version of Visualizer which records this data in CSV format, hope it'll help you.
