IWR1642BOOST: People Counting Design Reference Guide - Removing Resistors

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST

I am modifying the hardware on my IWR1642BOOST radar so that I can attach it to a CC1352R1 sensor node, than use that and a collector node to transmit radar data wirelessly, as per the People Counting Design Reference Guide (http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/tidued6/tidued6.pdf. However, while I was going through the document, I was having some issues with removing or adding some of the resistors.

R107 is marked as remove.  I did remove what I think is R107 I was just surprised by the width of the trace on that signal given what the notes say it does.  This mod may be incorrect.
R102 is marked as remove but it does not seem it was populated in the first place so it is not on the board.
R26 is marked as both remove and install.  It was not populated on the board so I installed it and assumed its supposed to be install not remove.
R26 is install.  I think I found the correct location.

  • Hello,

Thank you for your comments, And pointing out disconnects in the documentation. We will initiate correction mechanism by communicating this to authors of the documentation.

Yes, there are some resistors are by default remove. In case if it has been populated by some other means its re-emphasizing it to remove. R102 would be an example for it.
R107 is power good signal, 3.3V supply is used as Power good hence you might find its trace thicker.
Yes, R26 (AR_MSS_LOGGER) need to be connected to access it through BP/LP CONNECTOR. On this UART TX pin you would get the processed data.

    Thanks and regards,
