AWR1642BOOST: How dose the MSS reset the DSS to initial status?

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Hello,

When the number of objects is skyrocket, the wrong result will be produced by DSS.

When the MSS detect the error or user send the CLI command, the MSS will reset the DSS to initial status.

How dose the MSS reset the DSS to initial status without watchdog?

Thanks.

  • Hi,
Could you explain this scenario in detail?
What is the application you are looking at?

  • Hi, Jitendra

We develop the radar system based on SRR Lab, and we have a question.

When the number of objects is too large, the DSP will not have enough  time to process the data.

when the next frame start and the "interframeprocessing()" of last frame was not complete, the error happen.

We can detect the error by checking the process time, if the error had happened.

Then MSS send command to stop the BSS, and MSS write the register to reset DSS.

When DSS was reset to initial status, the MSS send the command to start the BSS.

Now, I try to write the register "DSSCTL" to reset DSS, but it  crash.

I would like to know how to reset DSS correctly.

    Thank you.

  • Morris,

To avoid this issue that you are referring to, the SRR lab limits the maximum number of objects that it can detect. This is defined in the source code.

Did you change any of the source code to override this check? This lab has been field tested many times and has not encountered this issue.
