IWR1642BOOST: Reading Data from the People Counting and Tracking Using mmWave Radar Sensor With Sub-1 GHz Reference Design

I was able to connect the com ports through the main_pplcount_viz matlab file found in the People Counting Lab for the mmwave Industrial Toolbox, but when I clicked "start" I got an error that said "Warning: The specified amount of data was not returned within the Timeout period.

Any idea on how to fix this? I'm basically trying to do the people counting lab but wirelessly.

Hi Isaac,

Please read through the TI design.  The data sent on the sub-1 GHz network is not in the same format as the data that comes out of the device - it has been shortened to reduce data footprint. There is a script that runs through tera-term that will process the data from the CC1352 which is included with the TI Design software.

How do I get the point cloud data wirelessly? I received data using the parser you mentioned but the data is in a different format. Is there documentation regarding this data format? Please send a link to the documentation. Also how do I get the point cloud data now?

Point cloud information is not sent over the sub-1G network. All documentation is in the TI Design page.
