DRV5032: Please recommend the instrument for measuring magnetic flux density.

Part Number: DRV5032

Can you help to recommend the instrument for measuring magnetic flux density? We encountered some problems using DRV5032, so we need some instrument to measure magnetic flux density. In addition, can you tell us how you test the BRP and BOP parameters of DRV5032? What instrument is used?

  • Hello Jace,

The piece of equipment we use to generate an accurate and consistent magnetic field is called a Helmholtz coil. This link shows some examples of Helmholtz coils available for purchase. We use this to test parameters like BRP and BOP of DRV5032 and other Hall sensors. To test BOP, the DRV5032 is placed inside the coil and the field strength is increased until the DRV5032 output turns on. To test BRP, the field strength is decreased until the DRV5032 output turns off.
