IWR1443BOOST: Spurious at different speed against expected speed

Hi Experts,

We are evaluating IWR1443BOOST RF performance. When observing an object moving at 150km/h, there is a spurious reflection around 120km/h. This is not observed at other bands like 77.0-77.2 GHz or 80.0-80.2 GHz. Please note that there is an object at the distance 40m and this is measured under chamber.

What is this reflection?

Can you tell me which band you are in when you’re observing the spurious reflection?

Sorry to missing the band. It is 79.0 – 79.2GHz.

Hello,

This is a known issue around 79.2GHz. There is a non-linearity of the synthesizer when crossing the 79.2GHz due to coupling from it's reference to VCO causes this behavior. Recommendation is to avoid narrow band around 79.2GHz region.
