IWR6843: Cascading and high Angular Resolution

I am interested in possibly building a device with angular resolution higher than supported by the number of Tx/Rx available using IWR6843.

I notice that AWR 1243 support cascading for increased total number of Tx/Rx.

Is it possible that IWR6843 support cascading in any way? Or will TI be releasing some other chip in the 60-64Ghz range which will support cascading?

Hi David,

I cannot comment on cascade for IWR6843 at this time.

If you have specific questions about cascading technique then I can loop an expert to help answer them.

The first question is does IWR6843 support this capability (like AWR 1243 does)?

The second question is, if not, does TI have any plan to release an IWR chip in 60-64Ghz which will?

Hello David,

IWR6843 device doesn't support cascading capability.
Currently there is no plan to release the cascading capability chip at this point in time.
