TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM: Getting a handle on multiple echoes from respective round trips so as to be able to choose the START and STOP pulse for TOF

Part Number: TDC1000-TDC7200EVM

How do I get to see the echoes from multiple round trips?

As of now, only the first one is showing on the oscilloscope when connected to the COMP_IN port (using the setup as shown in the user guide). This is then converted to the STOP pulse by the TDC1000.

As there are multiple echoes that result from multiple round trips, I wanted to be able to choose the START and STOP pulse to be able to change how the TOF is calculated.

How should I go about it?

  • Manish,

Based on the number of expected STOP pulses as set in the GUI, the device will stop processing the data further.
In case you specify the expected STOP pulse as say 2, once the devices compares the receiving data with VCOM/COMPIN and as soon as 2 STOP pulses are created using it then the devcie stops.
