CCS/AWR1443BOOST: DCA1000EVM and AWR1443: parameter settings

Part Number: AWR1443BOOST

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hi,

At the beginning my parameters: No of Frames=300,  The remaining parameters are default parameters. As shown in the figure below, I can use these parameters correctly to get the result I want, that is, I can see people coming from afar.

But when I changed the parameters and tried to test people's movements for as long as possible, I found that the results were not what I wanted.

As can be seen from the figure, the data is not recorded at all.

I have conducted many experiments later, and I found that if the chirp time is not the default 60us, the data is not normal. Please tell me what is the reason?

Best Regards,

Sleepybear

  • Hi,

Please become familiar with the chirp configuration first. Please read the following appnote:

    www.ti.com/.../swra553.pdf

And also review the "Introduction to mmWave sensing" training. This will help you understand the dependencies between the chirp parameters

    training.ti.com/mmwave-training-series

After that please test different chirp configurations with a strong reflector object.

This should help you understand how to use the chirp configuration with mmWave Studio

These tools have been used for several years by many users and we think that they are robust

    Thank you
    Cesar
