IWR6843ISK-ODS: Failing to flash

Hello

I have an IWR6843ISK-ODS which is failing to flash an image using UniFlash.

It hangs on Load Program (Opening COM port COM4).

I also have an IWR6843ISK which I can flash multiple different images successfully.

In both cases (IWR6843ISK, IWR6843ISK-ODS) I use exactly the same other software and hardware including

MMWAVEICBOOST
Windows laptop
Power supply
USB cable
Uniflash

Is there anything I can do to debug this or do I simply have a dud board for the IWR6843ISK-ODS?

Hi David,

Can you confirm you have both the SOP0 and SOP2 jumpers connected?

Have you tried pressing the nRST button on your mmWaveICBOOST? (SW2)

Otherwise, would you be able to post a full screenshot of your Uniflash console?

Hi Akash

Thanks for your reply it help me get it work but I am not sure why.

After I connect power LED DS2 is not lit.
After pressing NRST, LED DS2 is lit

Only after pressing NRST (DS2 lit) does flashing work.

I did not have to do this with IWR6843ISK, only IWR6843ISK-ODS.

Is that expected behaviour?

While this isn't expected behaviour, it is a known issue and something we are working to resolve.
