IWR1443BOOST: Fluid level transmitter fail and question

Part Number: IWR1443BOOST

1. I down load and install Fluid level transmitter, it complain the "Splash..Manifest file is missing. Any one know why? see the attachment

 2. Akash  you said the "Fluid Level transmitter" use post average, but "Fluid level transmitter" use the same CCS project as "high accuracy lab", does this mean the "high accuracy lab" also use the average during the post data process, can any one confirm this?

Thanks

  • I export the stand along APP according to other thread, I cannot make it work. Someone can help on this? If using 1 TX and 1 RX, does the "high accuracy measurement range" lab works as same as "fluid level transmitter"?
  • Hi Feng,

    1. Thank you for pointing this out. One method for doing this is to import the lab into GUI Composer and export the project as a Stand-Alone App (as is shown below).

    2. The averaging for this is performed at the GUI level. If you look at the Java script (either in GUI Composer or your browser's developers tools) this is performed in the script mmw_HighAccu.js in line 699. (there is also some calibration performed here as well).

Let me know if you have more questions!

    Cheers,

    Akash

  • Where is "shown below"------One method for doing this is to import the lab into GUI Composer and export the project as a Stand-Alone App (as is shown below).
I export the project as a "Stand-Alone App", but I do not know how to run it, can you give me more help?
  • Hi Feng,

Sorry the picture didn't post, I will post it again but you are correct.

You'll want to locate the Gui Composer Runtime folder: guicomposer\runtime\gcruntime.v5

Then simply extract the contents of the .zip file you downloaded, there should be a folder in there called: mmWave_Fluid_Level_Transmitter_1_0_0

In that folder simply run the win32_start.bat batch and you should be good to go!

    Cheers,
    Akash
  • Hi Akash,

    Thanks for the help!

I could not find win32_start.bat under folder  "mmWave_Fluid_Level_Transmitter_1_0_0", it is not in the exported Stand_Alone App, do you know why?

Here are all files extracted, see the attachment.

  • Hi Akash,
It seems the "fluid level transmitter" project searched from GUI composer have some issue, it does not have win32_start.bat and splash.bat files, do you know why? or you can send me your "stand_alone_app"?
    Thanks!
  • Hi Feng,

It looks like we were able to resolve this issue in the following thread so I am going to close this one. e2e.ti.com/.../2912732
