Hi,

I have a 3rd party co-axial type capacitance sensor.

1) How can I know/measure its self capacitance ?

2) How to find its impedance ? and equivalent circuit ?

3) Factors to be consider for build conditioning electronics ?

Kiran,

That information should be available from the vendor. You can also use an impedance analyzer to determine its self capacitance and equivalent circuit.

The FDC1004 and FDC2212/FDC2214 can both be used to measure capacitance. There are materials in their product folders that explain how to design with those parts.
