IWR6843: LVDS camera emulation

Part Number: IWR6843

Our application processor supports MIPI CSI-2 as well as 16-bit parallel camera port.

Unfortunately, IWR6843 drops MIPI support. Can anyone recommend a method besides an expensive FPGA to connect IWR6843 LVDS peripheral to one of these two interfaces?

Perhaps some camera protocol can be emulated in software by inserting sync codes into the data stream?

  • Hello,

IWR6843 is single chip SOC which incorporates ARM micro control and C6748 DSP.
LVDS interface is debug interface to capture high speed RAW ADC capture.
If you would like to use this interface you may use low cost FPGA /CPLD and convert LVDS to parallel interface and interface with Video input ports. For example, you may explore Lattice cross link family of devices.

Unfortunately, TI does not have any ready made reference solution that could be shared on TI.com. You may have to explore the solution.

    Thanks and regards,
