IVC102: S2 dissipation

Part Number: IVC102

Hello,

I'm a bit unsure how S2 works to reset IVC102. From my understanding, Vo is a read out and that allows us to record the voltage change over time (the integration, hold, and reset). Is the S2 connected to ground such that when it is switched on, all the current that was in the capacitors quickly floods the S2 branch to ground leaving no current/voltage? Why wouldn't the current in the integration/hold stage be removed from the pathway of C1,C2,C3 to Vout? Thank you.
