OPT101- STARTED CORRODING AFTER A WEEK. AND IT STOPPED WORKING. CAN ANYONE TELL MW WHY THIS IS HAPPENING?

WE ARE USING OPT101IN LAB CONDITIONS. WE ALSO USE RINGS AND MOUNTINGS TO ISOLATE THE OPT101 FROM THE AMBIENT CONDITIONS.

did you solder this device to anything? from the picture, it looks like flux residue vs. corrosion, but if you don't clean it off, it will corrode. but this picture looks like the device was not soldered to anything, but you would be able to confirm what has been done with it so far.
