Hello Team,

I have a customer who wants to use our IWR6843ISK-ODS as a people counting in frontally configuration (not overhead).

could you please guide me how I reconfigure the DEMO to work in frontally configuration.

    Hi Shai,

    The IWR6843ISK-ODS is an Overhead Detection Sensor. If they want a frontal or wall mount configuration then they should be using the standard IWR6843ISK.

    I do understand that, but according to the antenna spec and the customer requirements, they can achieve better elevation resolution due to the different antenna array configuration (the customer needs to detect a person in short range such as 10 meter).
    I know is it possible to reconfigure the overhead setup to be frontally setup with a few changes in the code (I think there is a define for that) also there are few changes in the .cfg as well.
    Could you kindly guide me on how to carry it out, Thanks in advance?

    The Overhead people counting lab is targeted to run only on the IWR6843ISK-ODS antenna module mounted in overhead position. Side/Frontal mounting is not an intended/supported use case for this particular demo.

    If you still want to test this lab in side mounted position, please note that you do not need to make any code updates for a different mounting position.
