CCS/AWR1642BOOST: Link API failed error on UART

Part Number: AWR1642BOOST

Tool/software: Code Composer Studio

Hello Team Experts,

I am working on AWR1642BOOST EVM ES2.0 for my application. I am trying to read sensor output data frame(detected object) to take the decision upon received range, angle and velocity information.

I have done UART configurations and I am getting the output on terminal as well, but when “SensorStart” command is entered “Link API Failed” message occurred. please referred attached the screenshots for console message and terminal output herewith.

When I debug the error, I found that it is due to CPU fault. Please find the attached code screenshot.

For that I have checked with the default binary from mmWave SDK demo code provided by TI and it is working fine. The sensor starts normally. When I load the binary file of Non_OS demo code(automotive toolbox) the sensor does not start, all the initialization is done successfully except at sensor start. It shows Rf-init status error on UART. Please note that the binary image I flash is from the demo code itself and code remains unchanged. It seems this problem was from the beginning with Non_os demo code because the sensor never started for single trial as well.

Also, please note that, following version packages I am using

mmWave SDK  02 00 00 04

Automotive toolbox 2_4_3

What could be the possible solution on this? Please consider this as high priority and revert asap.

Waiting for reply.

Sonal Chavhan.
