IWR6843: vpp electrical characteristics

There does not seem to be any description of the use of the Vpp voltage, its tolerance, the current this input may require and any application information in the data sheets or hardware reference manual for any of the IWR family.  Where might one locate information about using the Vpp pin for firmware updating? Or did I miss it?

    on the Customer IO List tab of the Hardware Design checklist, line 83 has a reference to Ball L13 (Vpp) - it says this is special 1.7V power (not required) and the schematic has a 0.1uF decoupling cap associated with it. To me it looks like this is not involved in programming the device and you should just put 0.1uF to GND on it.
