TDC1000-GASEVM: driver for windows 7

Part Number: TDC1000-GASEVM

Hello,

My TDC1000-GASEVM board wasn't recognised by the TDC1000_7200 GUI.

The board was recognised as usb HID not COM Port.

Even if I stop the Windows update and launch the installation by use the folder \Texas Instruments\TDC1000_7200EVM\Firmware

Windows said it doesnt find any driver.

Can you help me ?

Best regards,

Belkacem

  • Belkacem,

The GUI should work in Windows 7, please try to update the firmware as explained in the User's Guide.
  • Bharat,

I followed the recommandation of chapter 6.3 Driver Errors of  User guide but:

1°) The TDC1000-GASEVM appeared as USB peripheral in device manager (no COM port) and when I select TDC1000_7200_EVM_DRIVER.inf file, I obtained a pop up that said Windows find that driver installed is up to date.

2°) I tried to donwload a new firmware (after launch  BSL_USB_GUI.exe or in Debug mode in GUI) but I obtained this :

    Starting

    Password Sent Successfully

    Sending RAM BSL v00.06.05.34

    Done RAM BSL v00.06.05.34

Failed to read data from RAM BSL

Unsuccessful in starting the BSL. Restarting.

    Password Sent Successfully

    Sending RAM BSL v00.06.05.34

    Done RAM BSL v00.06.05.34

Failed to read data from RAM BSL

Note that only one led (D4) is powered.

    Thanks for your help,

    Belkacem

  • Finally to resolve this issue I programmed the boards with MSP-FET and now it's ok.
