If the sensor head needs a shield, does the shield have to connect to unused channel pin INA?

For the FDC2214, the shield should be connected to ground. The FDC2214 does not have the out of phase shield feature of the FDC1004.

If the shield will be connected to ground, it reduce the sensing range. Isn't it? Do have other option without affecting the sensing range?

Janine,

No, the best option is to keep the shield as far from the sensor as possible.
