HDC1080: if the part can work at humidity 95% for long time

Part Number: HDC1080
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: HDC2010, HDC2080

Cusmter test HDC1080 at 95% humidity station fior 12 hours , and find one device parameter report risk.

the value is 25% humidity, when change no normal humidity lower than 70% tha parameter can change to ok.

by the way the HDC1080 can support 50G vibration test?  we also find the device parameter abnormal also.

I think the parts couldn't work at 70% or higher humidity condition

as the part is weakly,  we couldn't keep it at industry standarded device, as that right? thanks.

  • Dear lanjie Liu103016 -
The HDC1080 datasheet recommends operating temp range for the humidity sensor to between -20C to +70C, where it should hold 2% accuracy from 20% to 60%RH, with slopes to 3% tolerance intersecting 10% and 70% levels. (see figure 2 in datasheet, page 7, www.ti.com/.../hdc1080.pdf)

In your specific case, when looking at Figure 2, you can see it is known that the RH accuracy does open up above 60%RH, but the device still functions. If you need tighter accuracy device, the HDC2010 www.ti.com/.../hdc2010.pdf or HDC2080 www.ti.com/.../hdc2080.pdf are a little better and typically hold 2% accuracy from 10% to 80%, and has a slope which goes up to ~3% from 80% to 100% and likewise from 10% and below.

Can you share the standard your industry is using? Also, what is the application which is requiring 50Gs of force?
