IWR6843ISK: Getting the people count from the UART stream

Dear Community,

I am running the People Count demo from the industrial toolbox. From the UART data structure, is there a way to derive the people count directly?

The user guide describes 3 different types of TLV within the data structure: 06 = Point cloud, 07 = Target object list, 08 = Target index. Does each target object in the target object list reflect 1 count?

Hi Vee Ronn,

Each target object in the target object list is 1 person tracked that frame. Easy way to determine the people count:

Take the length value from the TLV header and subtract the size of the header (8 bytes). Then divide the remaining value by the size of each target object.
