Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR1443
Hello,
The link to the mmWaveDemoVisualizer does no longer work for me. Cannot get into the https://dev.ti.com/gallery/ either. It worked two weeks ago, is it a known problem?
Thanks

In fact, the problem seem to be that I cannot select the correct platform. I'm using the IWR1443-platform (correctly detected in the bottom of the photo). But in the platform menu, that platform is not selectable (as depicted, only 16xx, 18xx, 64xx and 68xx can be selected). Therefore I get an error message that I have "Selected platform not matching..." (depicted red in the photo).
How do I solve the problem?
Thanks,
Johan
Thanks Akash,
Yes, the older version of the Visualizer includes the platform. The report SWRA593 mmWave Radar Sensors: Object Versus Range is said to be recorded with the IWR1443 out-of-the-box demo, and the mmWave Demo Visualizer. What Visualizer tool version, and what chirp settings are used in the SWRA593 report to be able to get the x-axis max range of the zero doppler range profile to 250m according to below (extracted picture from the SWRA593 report)?
When I run the IWR1443 out-of-the-box demo and the mmWave Demo Visualizer, I can only get the zero doppler x-axis max range to 60m. That is when I select the “best range” scene.
How do I modify the chirp configuration and increase the zero doppler range profile x-axis max range to 250m so that I can reproduce the SWRA593 result? And what Visualizer tool is used?
Thanks,
Johan
Hello Akash,
Thanks for the hint, however how to figure out the chirp configuration information is not the issue. The issue is instead how to present the test result, as I can't find a way to present the zero doppler range profile longer than up to 60m distance with the mmWave Demo Visualizer.
In the report SWRA593, the zero doppler range profile result is presented up to 250m. And the tools used in the setup are described in the report (see below extract from the report)
So my question is: How do you increase the X-axis range up to 250m in the presentation graph of the zero doppler range profile in the mmWave Demo Visualizer?
Thanks,
Johan
Hello Akash,
Do you have got an answer yet on what visualizer tool was used when performing the test described in SWRA593?
Thanks,
Johan
Hi Johan,
It appears that they just used the standard mmWave Demo Visualizer.
Cheers,
Akash
Hi Akash,
That is what is claimed in the documentation, yes.
The question I had is how to change the x-axis range of the "Range profile for zero Doppler" in the standard demo visualizer? The x-axis range in my standard visualizer is maximum 60m, while the report present information up to 250m. (see prior picture in this thread, and again below)
Mine visualizer x-axis range. 60m.
The report visualizer x-axis range. 250m.
How to change the range of the presented data, from 60m, to 250m?
Thanks,
Johan
Thanks Akash,
I think I found out what the issue was. I did not know that the visualizer automatically adjusts the range presentation depending on the downloaded chirp configuration.
Thanks,
Johan
