Compiler/IWR1642BOOST: Sub-mm Resolution measurement

Dear.TI:

In my application, we want to build a measurement system by mmWave radar. The resolution of this system should be in micron scale. I wanna know is that possible? If not, please tell me the limit of mmWave measurement and how can we achieve that?

Hi Guanyu Ke,

We have developed an algorithm utilizing Zoom FFT which is called the High Accuracy Lab and it is available on the TI Resource Explorer, dev.ti.com/.../node

I'd recommend ordering an IWR1642BOOST in order to evaluate it!

Dear.TI:

In the user's guide of "16xx - High Accuracy Range Measurement", we can find the description of simulation result in page 21. The table shows that detection SNR under 57dB the target accuracy can be less than 0.1mm, but there's no description of limit of the target accuracy in the document. So I can't distinguish the IWR-1642 suit our application or not.
