Hi Sirs,

Sorry to bother you.

Our OS are WIN6 64 Bit

We meet some issue on installation file.

Could you help to check it?

1. After downloading the file

2.Installation

3.The following message appears after executing the program

4. EVM does not appear in the device administrator either.

Dear Shu-Cheng,
This is issue with USB driver for the MSP430F5529.
Win6 is Vista, correct? I am not sure if this would be supported, as I know this was not widely used in the first place, and the oldest PC here we have is running Win7. Can you try a newer OS like Win7 or Win10, to make sure the hardware is 100% functional?

This MCSOMCTL.OCX error is very similar to an error I get on Win7+ with executables compiled in Visual Basic 6. In my case, the missing file is comdlg32.ocx. Retrieving comdlg32.ocx from another source and registering it using regsvr32 resolves my issues with it. You might try to find a copy MSCOMCTL.OCX and register it in order to resolve #3.

Sorry for Typo.

Our OS is WIN7, not WIN6.

We fixed the MCSOMCTL.OCX error issue but we found device manager not recognize the card and cannot install.

Could you help to check it?

Hi Shu-Cheng,

While I look into this software errors, we also would suggest using TMP1075. This part is pin to pin and software compatible with better accuracy. This device uses better and update software and 1ku price is cheaper.

Would this work as a solution for your design?
