Hi. I've bought your evaluation board and downloaded the TDC1000-TDC7200EVM GUI software.

1. There is no file extension to the 'snac064f' file and my PC (Win 10) does not know how to install or run the file.

2. Same question for the example software 'tidcab5', no extension, how to I open/extract/install it?

3. I've just noticed the evaluation board is obsolete, does this mean the TDC1000 is going obsolete or just the eval board?

    Did you recently buy this EVM? The device is still in market, we have just obsoleted the EVM. Please let us know your application case.

    Did you have any trouble in downloading the GUI from the website. The GUI should work with Windows10.

    I do run this TDC1000-TDC72000EVM in Windows 10 laptop. I will recheck to install this my laptop again and respond to you by Wednesday.

    The snac064f file that you should have downloaded should be a .zip file. You will need to first unzip it and then run the setup.exe file as admin and then the system takes you through the install setups. I did reintall this file in my Windows10 laptop without any issues. In case you continue to have any issue, please send me a message in the e2e forum and I can send you a separate link to download it.

    As for the "tidcab5" I am not sure which example code you are refering, please let me know where you found this example file.

    Yes we have only obsoleted the EVM and not the device.

    Hi Bharat,
    I renamed the snac064f with a .zip extension and successfully extracted and installed it, thank you.
    I was unable to locate the tidcab5 file on your website, so I’ll ignore that.
     
    I’d still like to know why the evaluation board is going obsolete?
    Does this mean the TDC1000 and/or TDC7200 are not recommended for new designs?

    Nick,

    Please note that the TDC1000 & TDC7200 are very much recommended for new designs and we at this time have only obsoleted the TDC1000-TDC7200EVM. We still have TDC1000-C2000 EVM in market which can be used to evaluate the TDC1000 device.
