IWR1642BOOST: Why "srr_visualization" is not appear?

Part Number: IWR1642BOOST

Hi,

I download srr_demo image file to IWR1642BOOST succesfully.

But, when I run srr_visualization.exe, the window is not appear, and there is no message.

 Environment:

OS: Windows 10

MatLab runtime library:Installed

MatLab version:9.2

Thanks.

  • Frank,

You need to have MATLAB runtime 8.5.1 (32-bit) installed for the SRR lab.

    Regards,
    Kyle
  • Hi, Kyle,

According to your suggestions, I uninstalled MATLAB runtime version 9.2, and installed MATLAB 8.5.1. Then run srr_visualization.exe, an error dialog was displayed and said:

Could not find version 9.2 of MATLAB Runtime.

    Attempting to load mclmcrrt9_2.dll.

Please install the correct version of the MATLAB Runtime.

    Regards,

    Frank

  • Frank,

Please make sure that you do have MATLAB runtime v9.2 installed on your machine as well. I have MATLAB runtime 8.5.1 (32-bit) and MATLAB runtime 9.2 installed on my machine.

After you have successfully flashed the SRR image on your IWR1642BOOST EVM with both SOP0 and SOP2 closed, please make sure that only SOP0 is closed after you reboot the EVM and attempt to launch the SRR visualizer.

    Regards,
    Kyle
  • Sir,

    Thanks for your answers.

There are both MATLAB runtime v9.2 and v8.5.1(32-bit) on my computer, but the window of srr_visualization application is not appear yet when I run srr_visualization.exe.

Flashing SRR image on IWR1642BOOST is successful. SOP0 is always ON, SOP2 is ON when FLASHING mode and OFF when RUN mode.

    Another question:

I run the pplcount_demo(lab11), the visualizer(pplcount_gui.exe) window is not appear yet. Before this, I flash corresponding image(xwr16xx_pcount_lab.bin) on IWR1642BOOST successfully.

    Regards,
    Frank

  • Frank,

It appears that you have some kind of issue with your MATLAB runtime installation. If you can flash the images successfully to your device, it does not sound like this is an issue with the IWR1642BOOST EVM.

On the SRR lab, there is a small pop-up window that comes up first before the main GUI starts. You will need to the change the COM ports to the ones that match your Device Manger entries for your EVM. Do not assume that the entered port numbers are correct.

    Kyle
  • Hi, Kyle,

I'll check the environment of my computer.

      Thank you very much.
