PGA300: PGA300 OWI can't be activated

Part Number: PGA300

Hi:

I am using PGA300, But I find PGA300 OWI can't be activate in GUI.

Could you help to check which may cause this issue?

  • Hello,

Before clicking the "Activate OWI" you should click the buttons to configure all of the OWI settings from the GUI page that you have shown. This ensures that the potentiometers on the board are set up properly.

Is the device powering up properly? What voltage do you see on TP20? What about TP33?

    Regards,
  • Hi Scott:

I have set OWI  as default setting in this page. But OWI still don't active.

I have tried two pcs EVM board .

    TP20 is 5.2v,  TP33 is 2.98v.

    please help, thanks

  • Hi Scott:

I tried to active OWI again in current mode, but I am still failed.

Here is waveform of signal from J12.

I find that when I click the OWI in GUI, the waveform will change. But signal level is not low enough .

Please help to check and give me some more suggestion for how to solve this problem.

    thanks

  • Hello,

It looks like you've changed the jumper settings in this picture compared to the last one. If you intend to operate the device in current output mode, jumper J14 should be changed to have pins 1-2 shorted, and J6 should be open.

Can you please measure the OWI voltage with respect to TP39? Is it still showing a voltage of 10+V?

What voltage are you applying to the input of the EVM?

    Regards,
  • Hi Scott:

I  have adjust jumper setting, But it still can't active OWI.

The OWI voltage with TP39 is 12.24V. Input voltage is 21V.

I also find a strange thing is that input current is 0.23A when I use OWI mode. I think it is too big ,right?

  • Hello Hao,

That current draw is higher than the normal range by quite a bit. Are you sure there are no shorts anywhere on the EVM?

What are the voltages on TP9 and on T1?

    Regards,
