DRV5056-Q1: Question about "Sensitivity data" (STC)

Hello,

My customer has been evaluating DRV5056A4-Q1 and they would like a data of STC(Sensitivity temperature compensation for magnets, datasheet page5).

Because there is only "typ" data on the datasheet.

Do you have a min-max data of STC? If you have, please let me know.

Or should we consider the data from "Fig13"? If yes, will you tell me the data of "+/-3STD"?

And let me ask you one more question about "magnet" for DRV5056A4-Q1.

Will you tell me the magnet you recommend for DRV5056, if possible?

Hello Takumi-san,

We have not spec'd min or max values for the sensitivity temperature compensation, so the data from Figure 13 is a good place for you to get an idea of what to expect. We do not have specific plot data that we can give you, but since these plots show ±3STD, that means that typically ≈99.7% of all devices will fall within those lines. Also note that slopes can vary within those areas as well.

As for the magnet, that really depends on your specific setup. In general, it is convenient to use a neodymium magnet, because the sensitivity temperature compensation typical value is designed to adjust for the typical temperature drift of a neodymium magnet. I also recommend using using the DRV5056 Distance Measurement Tool (http://www.ti.com/lit/zip/sbac231 ), found on the product page to help you choose the correct size and shape of the magnet.
