PGA305: communication over I2C with external PGA-board with USB2ANY and PGA305EVM

Part Number: PGA305
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: USB2ANY

Hello!

I've got a board with a PGA305 and some peripherals which should be configurable with I2C.
From former tests I also got an USB2ANY board and the PGA305EVM.
Beeing lazy and to get it running in a short amount of time, I tried to use the EVM-baord's TPs (47,49,50,55,56).
To be on the save side i opened all jumpers on the baord, that I thought might create some problems.
Finally I tried to use the PGA305 EVM GUI to communicate with my board.
The result was mixed: the GUI seems to recognize the board and the HW, at least it says "HW connected" in the lower part of the window.
On the other hand, the communiction with the PGA305 fails for varying reasons (errors -2 and -49).

Is there some part in my setup I should change or does anybody have an idea what the reason for the failure might be?
Thanks for your help!
