IWR1443: Enhanced directivity receiver antenna

Starting from the design on IWR1443Boost (4 RX antennas and 3 TX antennas) we were wondering if it's possible to increase the directivity, of course only in reception, by using simultaneously the 4 RX antennas while using a single TX antenna. The purpose of this application is level sensing of orthogonal targets (no MIMO radar)

Yes, we could transmit from 1 Tx and receive through 4 Receiver.

Please refer to channel configuration in profile configuration file (below is the snapshot from the mmWave SDK user guide),

This allows enabling 4 Receivers.

Hi,

what I have not understood is if, using the 4 antennas simultaneously (as you have indicated to me), I can improve the directivity of the antenna as we would be interested in being very selective with respect to targets parallel to the antenna planes.

Now, with IWR1443boot the radiation pattern seems a wedge so is not symmetrical with respect to the axis of the antenna and the angle is very big. Our question is about the possibility of "close" the angle using more than an receiving antenna; is it possible?
