We are studying inductive sensors using the LDC1612 EVM.
Could you explain the operation principle of inductive sensor with a formula?
(Quoting Maxwell's equation etc.)
Relationship between L and d (The conductivity, permeability, etc. of the target should be included in the parameters as well)
Please also use the capacitor used for the resonance circuit as a parameter

Unfortunately, we do not have those detailed equations available to share. We've included simplified equations in the device datasheets, and the LDC design calculator have built in some of these calculations/estimates. We have not written an article about the underlying equations including all of the details you've requested.

Thank you for your quick reply.

Why is the change in inductance due to the approach of the conductor to the coil much smaller for magnetic materials such as iron compared to nonmagnetic materials such as aluminum? It is nice to be an explanation derived from an equation that includes permeability etc.

The LDC target design app note discusses the material composition of the target. Equation 1 shows the skin depth as a function of permeability and resistivity of the material, but the whole app note will be relevant.
