AWR1642: Related to Sensor

Respected Sir/ Madam,

Here i am using AWR1642 EVM module in my final year project , when i studied about the sensor it is clear that sensor is working FMCW waveform but i want to work with Pulsed FM signal (intra pulse modulation ) for this is there any option to configure the waveform?. As the part of my project I have to build own GUI , so i request you to tell any API are available so that i can call those API from my GUI !. And I am not clear of the transmitter power of sensor and the coverage distance/ operation range/ distance .Please clarify my doubts as quick as possible and guide me through.

Hi,

The AWR1642 sensor will only work with FMCW modulation, not with Pulse modulation.

This may not be the right platform for your project

Ok, then i will work with FMCW modulation and Please let know the transmitter power of this sensor and what is the coverage range of this sensor ?

How can i increase the coverage range up to 1 Km with this sensor is that possible to do so by adding power amplifier , i know that maximum distance is limited by IF bandwidth if there is any possibility for increasing coverage distance (1 Km).Please respond to this doubt as fast as possible.

This is not the right platform for your project. You will need to consider a different class of radars

Dear Cesar,

It is very nice for clarifying my doubts, actually the application what i was look for is a sensor which can detects the objects 500 mts away . By using raw data of the sensor i want to do signal processing and displaying the results in my own build GUI. So, I kindly request you to tell that is there any sensor is available for the application ? , any sensor available for detecting objects more than 500mts -1000mts please let me know so that i can buy that sensor module please help and guide me.
