Linux/IWR6843ISK: .exe alternatives for Linux systems

Part Number: IWR6843ISK
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: IWR6843

Tool/software: Linux

I am using CCS on Ubuntu 16.04 for testing the labs from Resource explorer using IWR6843.

Some examples (e.g. mmWaveSensors/ Labs/ AreaScanner) have .exe file (mm_area_scanner.exe)  to check out the demo.

Can someone please let me know if there is an alternative available for such .exe files if I am using a Linux system?

or

If there is a way to use there .exe files?

Thank you,

Vinit

  • Hi Vinit,

The Matlab based visualizers in Industrial toolbox are provided with source code so you can generate an executable for Linux if you have a Matlab license on Linux. We do not test these visualizers on Linux and so do not provide the corresponding executables.

You could also try using a Windows emulator on Linux such as Wine and try to run the Windows executable directly in Linux. Again, this is only a suggestion as we have not tested this.

This is actually a Matlab question so you may get better support on Matlab forums.

    Regards
