I'm trying to download the AWR1243 firmware to a flash with the UniFlash tool on a custom board. I get the following error:
[6/11/2019, 1:15:16 PM] [ERROR] Cortex_R4_0: Initial response from the device was not received. Please power cycle device before re-flashing.
[6/11/2019, 1:15:16 PM] [ERROR] Cortex_R4_0: Not able to connect to serial port. Recheck COM port selected and/or permissions.
The COM port select is correct and the SOP pins are set to 101 for flash programming. In UniFlash I selected the AWR1243 device. The custom board uses a Silicon Labs CP210x USB to UART bridge IC going straight through an FPGA before connecting to the AWR1243. The flash used is a SST26VF032B-104V/MF. The connections and pull up resistors are the same as on the evaluation board AWR1243BOOST.
Why would it not connect to the device for downloading? What does it mean "initial response from the device was not received"?
