TDC1000: No signal at RX side

In your setup, the receiving transducer looks like is not seeing the reflected ultrasonic waves from the object.

Try to have a highly reflective object and check if the receiver is able to receive the signal. I will also check using an SPL at the Rx transducer to see the signal that it receives.

Also let me know the part number/datasheet of the transducers.

SPL testing is Sound Pressure Leveling Testing, you will need a mic which can pick up ultrasounds and amplify it to be observed in a oscilloscope.

I can see that the transducer is unable to receive the signals back.

Also looks like the transducer that you have can drive upto 100Vp-p. The TDC1000 on its own can only drive a transducer of about 3.6V max. You will need a separate boost circuit to say increase the drive voltage of the transducer and see if we can get a stronger transmit and thereby receive signal.

Please refer to the HV board circuit schematic document http://www.ti.com/lit/ug/sniu026a/sniu026a.pdf on how to design a separate boost circuit to drive your transducer. This board is now not for sale at this time.

The purpose of the HV board as shown in the above document is to boost the transmit pulses from 3.6V-to-30V to get a better received echo for applications where a higher range is necessary or when the ultrasonic medium is a gas or is exposed to vibration.

We do not have any circuit designed to create a HV of 100V tough, you could use this schematic as a reference and try to drive you transducer at a higher voltage value and see if you get better results.
