IWR6843ISK: People Counting Data retrieve through IWR6843 UART

Hi mmwave champs,

When running the lab0015_pplcount_68xx lab on IWR6843 board, is there a simple way to retrieve a file showing time stamps with corresponding number of detected people (like Time 000000 : 3 people detected, Time 000038 : 1 people detected …. ) ?

I understand that you can actually use the data which are sent through the UART and normally used by the “people counting” visualizer GUI in order to get such kind of data - the data output format being described in the “people counting user’s guide” document at the “data format” chapter.

Q1 : Is there a more simple way to retrieve the data first mentioned?

Q2 : If not, could you detail the procedure to retrieve data on a file through a hyper terminal like Tera Term? (data rate, file recording … )
