DCA1000EVM: IWR1443BOOST; softare trigger for starting capture?

I've managed to write a script that can send configuration commands to the DCA1000EVM. However, it still requires the Trigger Frame button to be pushed manually in mmWave Studio. I saw that it is possible to connect a hardware trigger for this function, but is there any way to send a command to begin this process through software, such as from my python script.

Furthermore, my implementation also requires all 6 buttons on the Connection tab within mmWave Studio to be pressed; is there a way to do this with commands as well?

Is there any way to do it within a Python script, like sending commands over USB or Ethernet to the devices to trigger frames?

Hello Pawel,

Device would support hardware trigger or software trigger.

mmWave studio uses software triggered mechanism.

In hardware trigger mode you need to provide the pulse on Sync_in pin through external instrumentation.

Currently there is no standard offering to trigger from USB or Ethernet outside of mmWave studio using Python scrips.

All the scripting are done through LUA shell within mmWave studio.

Right, I see that Lua can be used to create scripts for this process. However, I need to use Python for this project so that I can interface will all of my devices and sync up capture between them easily.

I have tried analyzing communications through both USB and Ethernet while performing the steps for starting capture on the device, such as loading firmware and setting configuration parameters. The one thing that eludes me is that pressing the Start Frame button does not show up on either the USB monitor or the Ethernet monitor that I have set up. Do you know how this command is transported to the board as a software trigger?
