CCS/IWR6843: Frequent CCS runtime error

Hello, 

I am trying to use our custom PCBs with a custom code, and I keep getting a constant error which i am unable to find any information about to solve. 

ti.sysbios.family.arm.v7r.vim.Hwi: line 271: E_undefined: Hwi undefined, intnum: 26
xdc.runtime.Error.raise: terminating execution

I cannot find any information about what intnum: 26 refers to. Also this error does not happen every time I try to debug. I have to keep resetting the R4F core, and re-load the program and eventually works. If you could point me to the information regarding the interrupt number, that would be helpful.

    Hello Peter,

        Could you please help us to understand what application you are running within IWR6843 device?

    How is custom code is different from our standard software offering. 

    Also could you please provide information how custom hardware is different from our regular EVM?

    Hi Peter,

    In addition to Chethan's questions:

    1. Are you able to run the SDK out of box demo on your board without this error? Please respond with observations for both flashed mode (i.e. non CCS debug) and CCS debug mode.

    2. Make sure you have ccs_debug.bin flashed on your board before you try to run the code in CCS debug mode. This is applicable to both the SDK out of box demo as well as your own code.

    Hi Nitin, 

    I have been in touch with Chethan off-line with some responses to his questions. But to answer these questions: 

    1. We can run the mmwave demo both in CCS debug mode and in flashed mode without any issues. 

    2. We have SDK version 3.1 ccsdebug.bin flashed on there and it is working fine - in fact about 60% of the time it doesnt hit this runtime error. It will run through to the point where it shows CLI is operational, at which point it enters our own custom code task and sometimes will display the runtime error above. Other times it works perfectly. 


    If it hits the error, i have to reset the board 2 or 3 times (I try both hardware and software resets but there is no consistency between what works).
