IWR6843ISK: SNR

Part Number: IWR6843ISK

Hello,

the second of the allocation parameters is an SNR.

This is the SNR Obscured threshold it should be used when a potential target is behind another target.

But in which way? I mean, increasing this value for the radar it will be more difficult to spot people behind other people and decreasing it may cause more ghost tracking?

How should I use it properly?

Thanks

(I got really good results in single target tracking but I still have some problems, during multiple tracking, I'm not able to avoiding the track "jump" on another person...)

  • Hi Alessandro,

Generally use this to avoid tracking ghosts caused by multi-path reflection by setting the threshold higher.  If you are seeing a lot of this specific issue, then you should think about the SNR Obscured threshold. Otherwise, set the SNR Obscured threshold to be equal to the SNR threshold.

    Regards,
