How can I get information about the possible timing of the phase shift in the TX path (e.g. in case of a BPSK)
What is the minimum and maximum frequency and how can I control this frequency.

Michael,
Please refer to this related thread for answers to your question: https://e2e.ti.com/support/sensors/f/1023/p/746802/2759485?tisearch=e2e-sitesearch&keymatch=Flow%20Transmitter

Hello,
the given link explains only that the chipset supports phase modulation (e.b. BPSK) "Transmitter Phase control: The transmit chains support Binary Phase Modulation (0 or 180 degree) which again is controlled using an API provided in the mmWave SDK. (There are actually 3 independent transmit chains on the IWR6843 so the TRM needs a minor correction.)"
This Information was well known before, but my question is about the timing limitations. What is the minimum and what is the maximum modulation frequency? The link to the software SDKs is not helpfull, because I'll need this information before I will start ordering the chip and the sdk tools.
I hope you can sent me the requested min and max modulation frequencies of the Phase control.
Best regards
Michael Thiel
Hello,
For every chip you could have BPM (Binary phase shift modulation) bit is allocated per transmitter.
Chirp could have FMCW modulation frequency from 60GHz to 64GHz . BPM bit could take only two values 0 deg or 180 Deg only within the chirp.

Sorry for my next try.
My questing was not about the frequency band. This was very clear from the beginning and is wirttenin the data sheet. My Question is about modulation (BPM) frequency. Does it mean that the BPM frequency is for FMCW similar to the to the chirp frequency and what is the limitation in the special case, if the chip is working in CW mode and operate only with a BPM (e.g. measurement of velocity). In case of very slow speeds, I will have very low Doppler frequencies and therefore I can use a BPM modulation to build a heterodyne system (receiver support I/Q). in this case it is import to know the frequency range of the BPM modulation.
best regards
Michael
Michael,
BPM is not supported in the CW mode. BPM is supported only in the chirping mode.
Could you please elaborate your application?
Thanks and regards,
