IWR6843: Frequency bandwidth modification on TI Demo Visualizer

Hello,

I would like to change frequency bandwidth to limit 60-61Ghz for IWR6843 (and even IWR6843 AoP). The TI Demo visualizer v3.2 (both online and offline version) looked like supporting only 60-64Ghz. The bandwidth limitation is needed because of Japanese radio regulation, so we must meet this requirement. Could you please suggest ?

    Hi Naoki,

    The mmWave Demo Visualizer is intended for evaluation purposes and does not necessarily support a full range of chirp configurations. We recommend the standard profile configs included with the mmWave-SDK but for more sophisticated chirp configurations you should use a different visualizer from the mmWave Industrial Toolbox.

    Thank you for your reply. Sorry, you answers was not clear for me... Again, what i would like to do is to change 60-61 in the following red rectangular:

    In order to achieve this, I was wondering if we needed mmWave Demo Visualizer modification. What did you mean by different visualizer from mmWave Industrial Toolbox? My understanding is the existing standard demo is target side firmware to work with TI Demo Visualizer. Could you please elaborate on this?

    Hi NK,

    While the visualizer does not support 1 GHz Bandwidth, the IWR6843 device definitely does. These chirp parameters are available in your mmWave-SDK folder in the following location, C:\ti\mmwave_sdk_03_02_00_04\packages\ti\demo\xwr68xx\mmw\profiles
