HI,

Can we use OPT3101 for diesel level measurement?

What is the feasibility?

Hi,

OPT3101 is optical based. Additionally the device is an analog front end meaning optics can be chosen so you can choose the wavelength of light to use. However, it will not work with transparent targets so this would depend on if you can find a wavelength that is not transmitted through the target.

Thanks for help.

Currently I am using OPT3101EVM to check the accuracy of sensor for level measurement.

Is it possible to measure the level of diesel with the help of OPT3101EVM?

It will depend on the transmitivity of diesel to 850nm. If you are able to provide this for your diesel I can help further. You can also try testing to see how performance is.
