AWR1843BOOST: DS4 LED glowing in Functional mode

Part Number: AWR1843BOOST

Hi,

When the jumpers are set in functional mode the DS4 LED is glowing(in red) , in the guide it's marked that the device is out of reset. Can I have more explanations please? Because 2 days ago, I've never seen this LED glowing and i was able to communicate the device with the computer having nice plots on Demo Visualizer, but no more since 2 days and I don't know why !

I tried to reflash the device (PS: DS4 is not glowing when in Flash mode), but I can't do it generating an error of Port communication.

Can you please explain to me what this "Out of reset" means and what I am supposed to do to adjust the problem ?

Best regards,

  • Hello Yassine,

The DS4 LED should be on. This means that the reset pin of the device is pulled up to VIO, which means that the device is out of reset. This is the expected behavior so there is nothing to fix.

The NRST pin of the device is active low.

NRST pulled low -> LED is off and the device is in reset

NRST pulled high -> LED is on and the device is out of reset and operating normally.

If you push the 'NRST' button, you should see the LED turn off when the button is pressed, which means that device is in reset when the button is pushed. Once the button is released, the LED will turn on, indicating that the device has come out of reset.

    Regards,

    Adrian
